Not a thought may cross your mind
This day, great gift, right now this time
Was yours to breathe He gave as yesterday
Another yours you'll waste away
Love was poured like rain it fell
Upon this earth filled with dry spells
The thought that Life would give to live
Yours once more, man He forgives
Mercy His ignored as if
He never was and you exist
By power yours, by will your own
So sad this seed you think you've sown
Blatant acts that make no sense
Mans will not His driven Hell bent
To death not life as He became
The sacrifice for shame and blame
A masterpiece of breath that breathed
Upon this world with word unsheathed
To make of you a better you
To live to die this truth of true
This day GOD saved once more again
Your chance to know today not when
Your days of old will come to end
To serve with thanks, to make amends
This day GOD saved
