Tomorrow on My Mind
Tomorrow on My Mind March 5, 2013
An Irish girl with an Irish smile with tomorrow on my mind
The big trip just behind me with turf still on my shoes
I left my friends and family there, no time to read the news
Leaving home for my very first time, tomorrow on my mind
We had a few and shed a tear, another few helped me make my plan
The party never ended, my plans were changed again
I packed my bag in a hurry with my bodhran and my whistle
Going to the land of the eagle and the brave, goodbye to Irelands shore
I'll miss the crack, might not be back, can I ask for anymore
I love the beat when the Irish meet; I'll make it happen here
We'll play Irish music for the lady; we'll sing songs some old and new
My new land waits as I shake the dust off from my past
Mother Ireland goodbye, I had to go, I hope my feelings last
An Irish girl with an Irish smile with tomorrow on my mind
The big trip just behind me with turf still on my shoes
