Chasing dreams of old this day
A place of heart and yesterdays
Seem to find their way again
Across loved miles where highways bend
Bend our will to look, to see
Just how much you meant to me
These things of soul and circumstance
Still held to close that still romance
A heart weighed down by ball and chain
Of things but once now not the same
Yet visits come leaving the best
Of what was more not wanted less
Keep to such of what feels good
But honestly misunderstood
How could we reach so far back then?
Simply answered as time did lend
