Away out where the stars know how to shine
In a little spot somewhere I've called mine
A cooker a pot some fresh caught meat divine
To sit back and sip upon some well traveled wine
Listening to the night birds softly cry
A silence for which most would surely die
As night breezes in the trees they sigh
And another lovely day gently it bids goodbye
Time to think of many things once knew
As I can smell a soon most beautiful stew
My old dog now licking his lips as well too
Out where time stands still how I loved so true.
