In uniforms with medals pinned upon
Their chest ... lie the cold, torn, mangled
Bodies of America's best. Tombstones Neatly
Positioned, aligned and arranged in rows...
DEAD, is how America prefers to honor her heroes!
They were pawns in a chess game that they knew
Not how to play. Now, in Arlington and other
Cemeteries they lay. As the bugler plays Taps
Their families fret and are filled with regret.
Then, the casket is slowly lowered into the ground.
The naivety of their youth made them gallant and bold.
Soon to be forgotten and never to grow old.
