Remember the leaders,
Who have spoken to you;
For they are succeeders,
Who will say what is true.
They are speaking God's Word,
Think how their lives turned out;
Repeat all you have heard,
Copy faith with no doubt.
Jesus Christ is the same,
Today and forever;
Able for to proclaim,
With a love that will not sever.
Don't get carried away,
By some strange teaching;
It might cause you to stray,
Hearing the false preaching.
By gaining inner strength,
From God's grace and kindness;
To persevere the length,
Ensuring blessedness.
It's not following rules,
For those following them;
Rather about the fools,
That God who will condemn.
Through Jesus we should bring,
A sacrifice of praise;
To receive a blessing,
As songs of voice we raise.
