From the Heart Through the Pen

yosph
There's always that one person
Who blinds you from the start...

I traveled round the world
Trying to find my way back to you
Stuck out at sea till eventually I
Drowned in this ocean
Only to wash upon the shores of Emerald City
Couldn't stay for long since I'm
Being chased by this black beauty
Who's dying to get my heart
Saying she's the best thing for me
But I'm immune to her pleas
Now she thinks I'm heartless
When in fact
I just use my heart less
It doesn't allow
My imagination to stretch
Meaning it doesn't let me believe
What I found in you
I could find in her
Still searching but coming up with beasts
The mode I like the least
Then I met Mz. Pearl
She tasted my lips
I swear they grabbed for my soul
Sigh...what could've been
This I'll never know
But somehow it felt inevitable
Everything
This and more I woulda gave
Nothing
Is what I felt I saved
Her beauty
Is what I so adore
Her I'll love
And they'll never be another
I guess you can say
It's more like forever
I had to apologize
But she was too inebriated to realize
Exactly what I meant
More time with her
Is what I wish I had to spend
Time to face reality once again
Nicotine on my breath
Such a faint smell
Yet I tasted no cigarettes
The strong addiction of her love disguised
Wait...this seems all to familiar
Maybe another chapter in She vs. Her
Only time will tell
