The Black & White Poet

Cool air is colliding with
The heat and light from the sun
Kissing my skin,
Thus,
Pulsating contentment
throughout my body.

A perpetual love squeezes my heart
As I linger in the swing
near the old wishing well.

Broken glass
from the old mirror
lie around. Carelessly.
scattered without purpose,
but only to appease the comparison
of where I am now.

Doubts now drowning in the stream,
Along with expired concerns
and dead dandelions

No more choosing doors,
No more handshakes
with death fairies...

I walked through valleys, blindfolded,
Losing the grip of faith more than once.
Conquering deception.
Conquering impatience.
But I'm here now. Confident.
Ready to go away with you.
Watching you get closer.

You're so near...
My blood has never been
so enraptured by romance...
Everything beating faster,
anticipating your appearance.

I've waited all my life to learn,
it was you,
who'd become my forever.
My irreplaceable love.
