Lord I seek you in the morning, I seek you in the night

I have removed things not pleasing to you from my sight

Your word is more than life to me, it is my very breath

I will not turn my eyes from you to the right or to the left

Your command is the rule by which my house hold is ran

By your grace I live, and by your power I stand

I have fortified the walls of my heart with your love

Which is as fierce as a lion yet as gentle as a dove

Because of this now my enemy encamps on every side

But my strength is in my God so I will not run or hide

My circumstances taunt me, they prepare to lay siege

They build ramps with diagnosis, unemployment, and need

They pile up statistics, past failures, guilt, and shame

I’m surrounded by critics who scandalize my name

Help me O Lord my God, I rest in only you

The God who can save by many or by few

In your name alone I go to battle against the enemy

By faith I have already attained the victory

I rejoice in the situation, I will praise in the circumstance

I will exalt the name of my God through song and dance

The joy of the Lord is strength, this earth is not my home

The enemy may rise against me but my God is on the throne

My faith is in the Lord and the plans He has for me

Since it is He who fights my battles, I have the victory
