Vishnu, the mighty Lord,
The Guardian of the Cosmic order
Knows the actions of all men;
Though men long to disguise their
Acts, the Lord knows all that they do!

Whether a man stands, walks
Or prowls about or goes slinking away,
Even if he goes into a hiding place
The lord is there to see what he does.
If two men sit together to scheme or plot
Judging they are alone, the Lord is there
As a third, and he knows
All they have contrived!

This earth and the boundless skies
Belong to Lord, both rivers and seas
Rest within Him and yet He can hide
Even in a drop of water that we take!
If a man should flee beyond the skies
Far, far away, he would not escape
The thousand eyes of the Lord.
The Lord wields this universe
As a gamester throws his dice!

Thy fateful coils are everywhere,
Seven by seven, and three by three.
Ensnare, Lord, whomsoever speaks
What is false, but, let him
That speaks the truth go free.
Let him be with us to sustain us,
And let us grow to a higher life!
We adore Thee, O Lord Savita,
We always seek Thy life giving light.
Be pleased to enrich and stimulate
The power of our minds!
