Sacrifices and offerings,
As being offered for sin;
The agony and suffering,
That is tormenting us within.
But God did not approve of them,
More so dishonor and disgrace;
Because He would rather condemn,
Than to consider to embrace.
With sacrifices He did away,
What God wants is obedience;
But anytime we go astray,
Christ will handle our defense.
Because we have been set apart,
As holy because Jesus Christ;
If believed within our heart,
The reason He was sacrificed.
Everyday each priest performed,
Same sacrifice time and again;
Either fair weather or it stormed.
To end the suffering and pain.
But they could never take away,
The corruption that was within;
As the scars do not heal but stay,
While still stinking of the sin.
One sacrifice by the chief priest,
Sacrifice lasting forever,
So we can join Him in the feast,
Because the cure will not sever.
