There was good before time came
To end such days of much to gain
As child you ran without a cause
Needing nothing or ones applause
Oblivious to worldly things
No time for such as time was something
You could bend to meet your needs
Adventures some, great some indeed
Pirate or princess, Knight slaying dragons
Play time now over, with feet yours dragging
This time of choice now but memory
Holds to adventures not one but every
You breathed fresh air and ran care free
Alone you made, drew destiny
For tomorrows were all, all yours for sure
No sweating such issues as innocence pure
You fell though in love and fell out again
Hurting at times, seeming that the end
Became of your heart and one you would love
One that was special, much thought today of
Though years may have passed and days pass today
You hold to these moments of yes better days
As truth never seemed to leave what was yours
A world you commanded of this you were sure
