venturing through rouged weather
missing the power of mother nature
afraid to leap out on faith,
too busy dabbling from sin's plate
devouring every meal
resting on dull cots
falling asleep
listening to the silent screams
of the cell-block's concrete;
cube's ice cold heart pumping
cruel oil exposed to mayhem

but emerged from the darkness
