The search began some years ago
Of her, her heart already knows
Unseen by eyes and circumstance
Beyond control spelling romance
To love, to hold, to wine and dine
To spell what was destined in time
Yet the quest upon white steed
Has taken toll but not the need
To feel purpose beyond what runs
Inside ourselves making for one
Once met before and so it felt
The one that makes for heart to melt
The journey long and time does steal
This moment now as age does feels
To weigh him down for one more trek
A trek pressing upon what's left
Aging heart and beard has grown
As Rumpelstiltskin's who slept too long
Missing the chance to be part of
Dreaming of her and him in love
