OUR - INTERESTING - WEATHER !

I am still waiting for that day - where clouds of 
Fluffy white - will blow away the grey - when 
Gentle breezes kiss our cheeks with smiles - and
Cold and wet are banished for a day - 
But I must wait - for this is
 ENGLAND 

This land of changing seasons - in one day - 
So true for all who know and love her - come what may -
Despite the chilly winds - and frosty toes - the 
Sun peeps shyly out again -
Before it just as quickly goes - and 
Rains again .

But - when the sun eventually shines - we
Sweat and fret - and - dare I say - we moan - 
This dreadful heat - if only we had rain - then 
Blow me down - it does 
Just that again .

We want the sun - and yet we need the rain - 
We want the heat - but sadly we complain - we
Love the snow - but rarely ask for more - so 
We close the schools - and wait 
Until the thaw .

As if a page is turned - the thaw begins - and then 
The floods come - overflowing drains - as gushing 
Through the streets the torrents flow - then  they vanish -
But to where ? - we never know - and just 
As we have overcome that change -
The sun pops out - to 
Say Hello again .

Such is this land of ours today - one moment 
Skies are blue - then they are grey - with 
Hot and cold - and wet and dry - and all
Manner in between - perhaps that 
Is why - this land is mostly - 
Beautiful - and green .

Have a blessed day from this wonderful country of 
ENGLAND ....where in one day it can be ...

Sunny - rainy - windy - snowy - icy - chilly - foggy - 

bright - dull - grey - stormy - calm  ....

But I for one thank God for this Nation no matter 
what the weather .
