If Only!

Her heart was beautiful
Like a child’s precious smile
Her sweet embrace, I crave
Oh God,
Come hold me for a while!
When life and all its bleakness
Surround me with fierce pressure
I will myself back, way back
Back to my precious treasure

She always had time for me
Now I must trudge alone
Place tear drenched flowers
Upon her cherished stone

Tears that call her name
Sweetened by her memory
That which is deeply embedded
In deepest part of me
If only I could have more time
I’d walk again with her
The only trusted soul I had
When once she walked this earth
Sadness lingers and clings
And I’m left as cold as winter
Chill of winters frosty bite
Comes calling and I miss her
I am broken, alone and withering
Eyes pained by life’s unfair
Screams are deeply rooted
And mine alone to bear

My Grandma, How I miss you!

*Thank you my precious Lord for the memories!*

They are what keep me, when I'm filled with emptiness!
