BE CONTENT AND GRATEFUL - COME WHAT MAY

WRITTEN  April 2013.


Beautiful - beautiful day - when Mr Sun has smiled - and 
Shone with gentle beams on us today - but - he would
Tell us not to think that we can always have our way - As
Tomorrow may be overcast and grey - so - 
For this moment - we must be Content - and 
Grateful - Come what may .

Yes - Gratitude will blow the inner clouds away - that 
Cast their shadows on our minds - and cause the 
Anxious thoughts to have their way - and nerves 
That once were strong as steel - begin to fray - so 
That even bravest stalwarts start to sway - So -
Let us be Content and Grateful -
Anyway .

Because ....

God gives us all we need to see us through - He knows 
we need the rain clouds - as well as skies of blue - He 
Also knows when we must stop and rest - instead of 
Running here and there - as we think best - and so 
Today - I thank Him - for the sunshine and the rain - 
For the beauty of creation - and also for my home - 
For a quiet place of rest - to lay my head - and for -
Life and health - and for my daily bread - 

In Fact ......

In all things I am grateful - and thank Him - as 
I should - 

Because .....

In All things - He is Everything - that is
Wonderful and Good.
