One Storm, Lone Woman, One Umbrella

Little blue storm cloud go away
you keep coming back
uninvited. I know rough weather's
part of this life's game. But I can't take
the blues you've ignited. I said I couldn't
keep coming back if it weren't for you.
But now I find there's no such thing as
forever, no such thing as true. It was all
in my imagination. Can you imagine that?
Was I in love with some one who saw me
as a place simply to hang his hat, that is,
until the weather cleared and it was time
to move on? Seems he might have gone. Or
maybe he always was or has been. Can't live
in the middle of a chasm where my heart is
cleved in two...a one woman under an umbrella simply
just won't do to keep this rain from falling
and coming down again and again. I can feel the wind, the
cold rising and I think its uncompromising.
I think its staying on for a long while.
Don't try to make me smile on a rainy day
when the storm clouds inside of me got to remain.
One storm, lone woman, one umbrella.
