Blest are those who endure,
Being faced with a test;
If they resist a lure,
Then they have done their best.
When they have passed the test,
They will receive the crown;
For they know in their quest,
Others see as renown.
Although the crown of life,
Still you find temptations;
In tormenting with strife,
Through the tribulations.
God is not the tempter,
For God is not evil;
One who is a tester,
Is only the devil.
God is tempting no one,
Never to light your fires;
Not since time had begun,
Has tempted desires.
We all have desires,
That can lure and will trap;
When Satan acquires,
He causes a bum rap.
For desires born sin,
And then gives birth to death;
Which will grow deep within,
Till your very last breath.
