Finish Faithful
We are surrounded with so much,
Of a faith with its gentle touch;
Get rid of all that slows us down,
And causing you to wear a frown.
Especially sin that distracts,
Making you do immoral acts;
Rather we have to run the race,
With Christ and remain in His grace.
We run the race that lies ahead,
Never give up what you have read;
Focus on Jesus as your goal,
As the one source as your control.
Goal of our faith and the source,
That will keep us on the right course;
And the joy ahead within Him,
Is keeping us from getting grim.
He saw the joy ahead of Him,
Which caused the vigor and the vim;
So He endured death on the cross.
He ignored disgrace of the loss.
Then the Father did give Him grace,
As He received the highest place;
The throne in Heaven next to God,
To whom we give honor and laud.
Against all sin you will struggle,
For its pleasures causes trouble;
Struggles can never murder you,
They like to torment each day through.
Think of the encouraging Word,
Spoken by God that you have heard;
Pay attention for if you sin,
Because the Lord must discipline.
