Intercessory Prayer
You know of the rebellious acts,
Which are sin and what it impacts;
For sins will testify against,
In your trial that has commenced.
We know that our wrong doings,
What the Law is pursuing;
To rebel and deny the Lord,
So many times we have ignored.
We turned away from our God,
Have not given honor and laud;
As we speak about oppression,
As we struggle within transgression.
We have conceived and uttered lies,
Our hearts question who and whys;
As righteousness stands far away,
All because we decide to stray.
And truth has fallen in the street,
Eaten by dogs for tasting sweet;
And honesty cannot come in,
Since it is being blocked by sin.
Truth is missing and turned away,
As evil makes the victims stray;
The Lord sees it and is angry,
As they disregard His decree.
Why does not anyone plead,
As no one seems to intercede;
For with his power he can win,
Confession through prayer against sin.
