Poetic Sermons

138,725 poems read

Through grunts and groans, wines and moans
Through hours of speechless prayer
From your presence I will not roam
I believe Lord that you are there
As I taste once again the bread of affliction
The sting on death has struck again
My praise is mangle with my petition
You are still God, You forever reign
I look to you through tear drenched eyes
And worship you with my broken heart
My praise will reach into the skies
You prevent my falling apart
I don’t know how, I don’t know when
I only know this pain
By faith I know I will smile again
I will rise in Jesus name
He makes intercession for me
The Holy Spirit becomes my voice
God moves in ways I can’t see
So to praise Him is my choice
My flesh is not willing
It doesn’t want to shout
But through a spiritual filling
A song of praise comes out
The Lord knows my feelings
Through experience he can identify
From His own brutal killing
He comforts me as I cry
Through grunts and groans, wines and moans
Through hours of speechless prayer
From your presence I will not roam
I believe Lord that you are there
