NUGGETS - OF - PURE - GOLD

Many men in olden times - have spent their weary lives - toiling
Endlessly in darkened mines - to gain the earth's deep hidden gems -
In hope to make the victor's find - of precious
Golden seams .

But - many that have panned for gold - in putrid waters - of 
This world - have scraped a meagre living where - they barely 
Gained a pauper's share - from all their 
hard days toil .

Such is the way of humankind - who seek and seek - but rarely find - the
  Golden crumb - that lifts them from the ashen pile - and deepest tomb
  And turns their bitterness  and gloom - into a smile - and 
Gladdened mind . 

And yet -  within the life of man - there lies a dormant  - life filled 
Span - where only God can seek and find - the precious
Seam  amidst  the grime - of sinful 
Broken man .

Then - with the hammer of His Word - He breaks away the 
Hardened shell - and melts away the dross until - all
That remains - is His perfected will - and
Purest  gold . 

Oh may it not be said my friend -  through futile scratching of the
Ground - only Fool's gold could be found - with none - to
Mold into a precious Crown - to
Grace a Kingly  head . 


Only God can know the value of a human's worth - though dug
From mines of deepest  earth - and bitter toil - But - He can
Also see the heart - and make the darkest  dross depart -
Until the beauty deep within - once stained
 By every kind of sin - now cleansed -
Unfurls and stands upright - a
Glorious - Wondrous - Thing

Nuggets of gold can only come forth through much breaking and in the 
the fire of affliction . ...but , when they have been brought forth - then all
can see their precious value , and long sought after wonder . .
