Pleading Prayer
Answer me when I call,
Please do not let me fall;
You have freed me from sin,
Now I ask to come in.
Have pity on me O Lord,
Let me not be ignored;
So much I want to share,
Please hear all of my prayer.
Many people with clout,
Are filled with so much doubt;
They insult my honor,
Call us sheep that wander.
How long are we to love,
That is empty thereof;
And seek what is a lie,
Knowing soon we will die.
I know that You select,
Those who would not reject;
Your everlasting Word,
And the truth they have heard.
No sinful thoughts instead,
Think of this in my bed;
To tremble and not sin,
Staying tranquil within.
Let Your light shine on me,
Open my eyes to see;
The goodness of your grace,
That you always embrace.
