Faith through Christ
Praise God from whom all blessings flow,
Praise Him for all knowledge we know;
Praise the Father of Jesus Christ,
Who let His Son be sacrificed.
Praise the Lord who gives us new birth,
And is giving us a new earth;
Because of His mercy is great,
But we must have patience and wait.
We have been born in life a new,
With new outlook and a new view;
All because Christ came back to life,
After tormented in the strife.
Into a new life we have been born,
On this earth that we now sojourn;
An inheritance waits in time,
But cannot fade like our crime.
That inheritance being kept,
Until the day when we accept;
The invitation to Heaven,
At the end of time be given.
You are very glad of these things,
And the gifts that the Father brings;
Even though you must suffer now,
Jesus Christ can help showing how.
It is your faith God tries to test,
For wanting you to do your best;
Like a fire will test pure gold,
Faith is more precious I am told.
