Faith within Christ
May good will and peace fill your life,
Enduring the torment and strife;
For just a transient sojourn,
All because you have been reborn.
Praise unto God our Father,
And Jesus Christ our Brother;
God has given us a new birth,
Because He knows our full worth.
Because of His mercy and grace,
He has given His sweet embrace;
And born with a new confidence,
Through His Word for our defense.
A confidence that is alive,
That is being used to revive;
This body that is old and tired,
With faith that is stoked and fired.
A new life that we have been born,
No longer do we have to mourn;
That causes us detours in life,
Because of the toils and strife.
An inheritance that will stay,
Cannot destroy or fade away;
And is kept in Heaven for you,
That is guarded as tried and true.
You are guarded by His power,
And when we have reached that hour;
Your salvation will be revealed,
As the Book of Life is unsealed.
You are happy about these things,
Along with joy the future brings;
Although you suffer now and then,
Be glad when Christ returns again
