I'm a part of the struggle
and the struggle's a part of me
We'll never accept defeat
But a seed catches hell trying to
grow through this topsoil
called concrete
Pressed there by man
Created by the powers that be
Planned and implemented
before we were born
I can see a glimmer of light
shining in the deep
But my dreams been torn
Scattered by the hands of the four winds
Man's packing on another layer
Lord when will these birthing pains end?
There's still beauty in the seed
A sweet smell in God's nostril
Untainted by men's needs
Especially when she pleads, Set us free
