MEANS TO AN END

It is often said that the means justify the end
But just for a moment let’s think about the means.
If they are the means to hurt embarrass cause distress
Well then doe’s the end really justify the means.
If you reckon they do then by all means go for it.

But and here we are with the iniquitous but, one
has to be able to live with themselves at the end.
Making ends meet if in hunger or poverty is a totally
Different concept, then in the case of need who am I to judge.
One doe’s what one needs ro survive, unless of course it is
vanity and greed that drives you on. Problem is if that is the case
Greed and the love of money will always prevail.

living with yourself  is an misnomer because narcissism always prevails.
Now I’m looking for the means to an end to this poem and
here we have the crux of the topic I have to live with myself
After writing this poem that I can only term sermonizing
about livingWith yourself if the means to an end are justified
I confess I don’t know .
