These things of old that tug my heart
Bring much more though far apart
A moment mine, maybe too yours
Maybe this word we both endured
Thoughts of you still dance upon
My mind where you are never gone
For there the path my soul does wind
A clock of when, of then, of time
You never left but for good reasons
This shift of time too short a season
Is kept from cold where fill I do
The emptiness that distance drew
You see I fell in love too soon
As tried I did your heart to swoon
With all my soul stilled wished for more
More unlike in life before
I'm sure you're not alone these days
I guess it had to be that way
For treasured things have but one place
Inside, upon ones mind embraced
There is no one as nothings changed
No one but me with access gained
To better days where wine you poured
And days where Cracker Barrel doors
..are opened to comfort love sores
