Through The Eyes Of A Poet...

I Was So Blind…

I met Sarah, and she told me…That Jesus never gave me my ill health,
I was so blind I couldn't see - it was the devil creeping in with stealth!
I've always said that no matter what God gives me, I won't walk away!
Then Sarah, so upset, told me…'It's the devil that's made you this way!!'
Jesus came to make miracles, and heal the ill and the frail…
So why would He hurt me so? Does this mean I've hurt Him, did I fail?
I've thought a lot of what she said, and I'm so blind I couldn't see…
That satan the creep, crept into my head, and caused confusion to me!!!
I rebuke satan all the time, but more so now about my health!
And I praise God almighty above, for the life He's given me full of wealth!!

I guess at times we get it wrong, cos I sure the heck did-I got mixed up!
I turn it over in my head…and feel Christ fill my overflowing cup!!
The cup of love He gives me, to fight this health! Every day of my life…
So yeah, the devil may do it! But God helps me through my strife!!
So though I was blind I couldn't see, that the devil was inside my mind…
Letting me think God gave me this mess, when now it's the truth I find!
‘The truth will set us free,' says the LORD,' and that's the case for me!
So I thank God that I hurt myself that day…at the place that I love to be!!

Life church!!

If that hadn't happened, I wouldn't know I had it wrong all this time!
So thank God for Sarah and her words, cos now I'm truly feeling fine!
And if I'm like this because of that sneak, then that sneak will now know!
That I have him sussed, cos I'm with God, so that devil so sneaky can go!
I rebuke, I rebuke I rebuke - you sneak!! You're out of my life for good!!!
You're not welcome in my head!! So do one!! As you'll know you should!!!
You were in my head but I didn't know, cos I rebuke you all the time!!
Cos the truth has set me free, again, and now I'm feeling fine!!

I deal with my health with Gods support, that's always been the same…
You sneak may have made me ill, but God's carried me - kept me sane!
So I will continue on in my life, and leave it to God to make me well!
And if He sees fit to do that, ok, but if He doesn't, that's ok as-well!!
Cos if I'm like this to witness for Christ, then I'm ok being ill,
And I'll do my utmost, and stay strong - and continue to witness, I will!
So thank God for that mishap I had, cos it's sure worth all of the pain,
Even though it's tough getting through it over and over again!

But do it I will, as ever I do, and praise God every day as I will,
Keep taking the morphine and rest, not forgetting that strong little pill!
That's how I deal with my health. With God carrying and supporting me!
He's not there every now and again! He's with me constantly you see!
He's there for you if you allow Him! Just open your heart and let it flow,
Let the Spirit of God settle in you, and when it happens you'll know!!

Cos the truth will set you free!!
