Digesting the Word
O Lord You understand,
Save me from sinking sand;
And please take care of me,
Open my eyes to see.
Take revenge on all those,
Who persecute as foes;
They insult what I do,
The insults are of You.
Be patient where I stay,
Do not take me away;
They are walking the path,
Right in line with Your wrath.
But Your words I have found,
When heard has a nice sound;
A joy to my delight,
Opening up insight.
You have called me by name,
As I shout to proclaim;
Your hand was upon me,
Because I felt alone.
You filled me with outrage,
And have now set the stage;
My pain is unending,
From what You are sending.
I must digest Your Word,
Of all that I have heard;
Put it into practice,
To easily access.
