Tightrope
How often conditions like the recession make one grope
Giving the impression that like one walking a tight rope
Being so untrained so that intention is not to look down
Because there is not a comforting distance from the ground
But too there is not the happy feeling of seeing that trampoline
There to add some cushion and some security to the scene
But must take great pains to ensure that there is some balance
As one mistake can result in a falling and this would be not pleasant
Now there you are virtually suspended in the air with such fear
Sweating profusely and in the process being blinded by a tear
This is being transmitted to the muscles and the feet getting so tense
As the mounting tension and pressure get created and quite immense
All will not be quite easy as forces like the wind presents in a way
A form of inconvenience too which may cause the rope to sway
This predicament may cause in the system a form of such defiance
That will certainly cultivate a position of a fighting stance
Being now bogged down with all this type of weight
This may create such a great difficulty to hold that gait
Because no matter the width and length of the road
One has to persevere and try to carry on it that load
So as life's tightrope begins to sway, bend or tremble
And in the midst of all adversities there to grapple
One has to devise a way to anticipate those inherent uncertainties
And a method is to develop a system that is have proactive tendencies
