The need to speak my mind this day
Upon this site and by the way
I'd say to you if just to say
I wished for you as yesterday
The road I walk has just revealed
A piece of you on sky that steals
The moment now, if just for now
I'd hold closer to show somehow
Though distance came and stole away
The last of breaths by bedside stayed
This man once boy, the first of sons
That wished for more with heart undone
I miss you mom, next month will bring
The date you passed and many things
Will come alive upon that day
The very things wished for today
Another day, a moment ours
A word or two for just an hour
I failed to say if just once more
My heart of hearts that skyward soared
I listen still to your voicemails
Yes still this day for without fail
I have you here if just to hear
Your voice again, I cling to dear
Pictured at home my hold of you
Became what's left just one of few
Moments Kodak can never fill
The lonely part of picture still
Soon, next month I'll come to be
Upon your bench to speak softly
To monument with stone embossed
With photo yours my greatest loss
Though in my heart I know you rose
To be with GOD as you He chose
Calling home what once was mine
Dear mom I love, until my time
Que Tal Madre,
