Oh Lord - must there always be storms - and chaos ? -
Must there be uphill struggles - before we reach our goals ? -
Will there ever be a time of lasting calm - when we find rest and 
Peace - for our weary - world-worn souls ? - 
beyond the reach of harm .

Is the journey always to be one of bends - and stops and starts - and
Endless waiting for the lights to change to green - where the air 
We breath is fresh - and purified - and clean ? 

You see our feeble frames - and know we are but dust - and how 
the burdens of the day can overwhelm - and bring us to our knees - 
But -  in all of this - I for one can say - that for all the trials and 
temptations - along the beaten way - I long above all else - Yourself
To please - I know - for me  - this is a must . 

To be Your child is ever my delight - to know that You have called me 
By my name - and guard me day and night - brings me to a place -
Wherein my heart can evermore rejoice - and then the 
Cross - with love - embrace .

Oh Topsy Turvy World - renew your mind - by searching for the One -
Who has loved you - and sustained you - long before all time had begun - 
You cannot lose - my friends - for He will go on loving you - until the 
Journey's end - Then - like a child - He'll gently draw you - by His Love and 
Grace - as One who is your dearest Friend .

How I long for the fallen world to come to know the Saviour's love 
and to be drawn into His kingdom by His cords of mercy and grace .
