Closure of sorts, mere offering

Agendas all we have this day
A list of things that list away
The hours spent on what can wait

That if you took the time to breathe
You could assess and then believe
There is a word that troubles us
Forgive yet hard in this to trust
And so we hold to things that weigh
Our heart, our soul, priceless we pay
Lessons taught yet push we do
Against logic and pride that drew
A line not crossed, forbidden ground
So sits anguish within us found
Today bring change and peace to things
That ties such knots and leaves nothing
For time is short, to make amends
With who loves you right now, not when
