 Penniluck's legacy

Next Stop Paris

To my other half John who is fighting for his life from lung cancer. He will not give in, next stop Paris. Love you John more than you will ever know xxx

No I will not go quiet
To that last sleep
And `though at times
You`ve heard me weep
I must continue
Fighting on
Even when I`m
Almost gone.
Prepare yourselves
I`m going soon.
I felt death
Creep in that room
Up out of bed
I did arise.
Oh my, those nurses
Were surprised.
God won`t get me
`Till I say
I`ve had enough
So it`s okay
To come and take me
By the hand
I`ll let him lead me,
Understand.
This is my choice
I will fight on
Until each ounce
Of strength is gone
Stubbornly I will
Hold tight
To every breath
I take by night
And day... each moment
Precious still.
Because you know
I have free will.
The day will come
And I will leave
But understand
And do not grieve
I took of life
Each tiny sip
And tasted it
Upon my lips
Like nectar, it
Was worth the pain.
And I would live
It all again.
Paris where I long to be
Waits across the wide blue sea
And if it is within my power
Once more I`ll climb the Eiffel Tower
