Be There Dads
What type of image do you want to be in the eyes of your child?
This is some that as a father tend to be on the mind for awhile
Of course there will in the mind a little bit of apprehension
But one has to prepare for some moments when there will be tension
Try to understand that life and grown have moment of transition
And remember that what was like at infancy will change with education
You too as dad must also be proactive and be on top of the game
Because the now more things to worry about in today's frame
When it come to lead be there, but in most cases be there to steer
But be also mindful that in the process mistakes will be there
So when they happened do not be critical or in any way debase
But have a discussion and try to see what measures can be put in place
Create that atmosphere of trust and make sure there is that open door
Don't procrastinate because what is to be said may be hurting to the core
Exercise patience, consideration don't interrupt just sit and listen
Because getting it off the chest may be to them just that required solution
Then that moment will come as you can see that difference
They have grown and now you are facing an adolescent
Recognize now that there will be that production of certain hormones
There may be some for m of argumentative nature in some tones
So stay true to course and because you will be in for a test
As always stick firm to that duty and give of your very best
When you show that love and respect that more often get reciprocated
Because children do love their father more when he is dedicated
