That Bond
Who can ever forget those moments so good to be had?
As there is no memories like those spend with a dad
Those minutes so playful punctuated with that playful romp
Bring out such tearful joy as a feeling so excited by that little bump
Standing there with your head almost touching his knee
Feeling dwarfed by the crowd so the game you could not see
Then in one swift action you are sitting on that wide shoulder
Now you have such good vantage point and over many did tower
As a young lad what really brought such admiration and delight
Was the times spent working on and flying that kite
And what too made you so happy one seeing his smile so bright
Know he was the first one to see you make so strides on your bike
How that spirit of admiration however cultivate that mind set
That as you grow there will be no apologies and any type of regret
Because that main item on your life's program with that desire
That you most definitely will follow in the footsteps of your father
In time there will be those occasion when there will walks with talks
And through this communication most of those weak areas will get caulk
And in the process will mould you into a very rounded person
This will give you the tools to deal with your peers' actions
Those lessons taught subtly makes you appreciate lives much better
Also causing the appreciation of the actions of a responsible father
One would not shudder but kept those hands firmly on the rudder
