At times the past becomes alive
As lonesome takes a hike with sighs
Leaving but you to be with me
A state cherished, so longed to be
Here but peace becomes my day
In truth still wished for everyday
As fingers yours would come to dance
Upon my chest and heart romanced
You side by side just laying there
Kept dreams alive often still shared
Yet things took leave and so did I
Along the path as life applied
A moment mine and yours just still
Pictured perfect a need to fill
The emptiness that runs through me
A cure of sorts to end empty
Though distant seems is all I am
I am right here no less the man
That keeps the still alive of then
More than you know as time yours lend
Still
