When It’s All Been Said and Done
Sunny days and starry nights, I’ve had many, too many to count.
Rainy days, I’ve known some, but, not as many as others.
But, all in all, it’s been a life that I would love to recall.
Days of childhood adventure, adolescent of teenage wonder.
As a young man in uniform I did proudly stand.
As a young father of two fine children to have
and love so very grand.

But time passed as time always does
and my life changed as only life can.

Now I live in the winter of my life and
my Darling wife, you came to me late,
but early enough to make me happier
than I’d ever been!
We’ve lived these brief moments of
bliss in all its golden splendor and
no man could ask for nothing more tender.

So with that all said, I kiss you farewell
and I will love you beyond time’s end!
