Thoughts this day of how things play
Inside and out our lives display
A plethora of in and outs
A test of time when talked about
We live our moments as allowed
By our own choice yet still somehow
Ignore the things we could impact
Someone whose needs have been ransacked
Stolen by their health declined
Or by some act someone unkind
Felt compelled to strike on them
Oh how man fails to comprehend
Shooting from hip with no regard
The young now old serve time real hard
Words your own could be the breath
Of life needed before their death
Look around this day and see
How you can help and answer pleas
As all they have is borrowed time
As you will to, your turn on line
Share a story and they will too
Of things once lived as they too grew
To be of age, to be today
From what was once just yesterday
Such borrowed time is but a speck
Of yours to give to one that's left
To sit by window side and wait
For one like you with them partake
