The Forget Me not flowers cover every vacant place -
With their gentle blue faces - like feathery lace - to
Remind us all that they are there - to never forget them -
Never - but to be always aware - that though small and
Frail - as they appear to be - they will spread like a blanket -
That covers with beauty and grace - to bring joy the the heart -
And a smile to the face - to those who have eyes that are
Open - and hearts that are loving - and
Able to see.
You may throw them away - and cast them from view - but
As each tiny seed falls into the ground - they return once again -
Pure and new - at some later date - to gladden the heart - like a
Welcome sign at some stranger's gate - Yes - these delicate heads seem
To get everywhere - like the softest touch of an angel's kiss - or
A beautiful garland - to grace a fair
Maiden's hair .
But - what they speak - is louder than their size could be -
Forget Me Not - my friends - is what they so clearly say - no matter
What else you may think to do - this one thing that I ask - in sincerity - is - if
I may have touched your heart with love and with peace - and proven to be a
Faithful friend - who is gracious - and true - as best as I know how to be -
Then like this tiny flower - I whisper it now - My precious friend -
Please - Never - never ever -
Forget Me .
Every now and then I turn to God's beautiful creation of flowers and fauna
to write a word that is on my heart ..and hence this tiny flower inspired me
to write this poem today ..
But the truth is ...if you forget me ... you have lost very little ... but if you
forget the Lord ... you have lost everything .
