YESTERDAY
Some days are so busy
You walk and work
And lurk in a red suit
With those Italian leather
Shoes clicking on the pavement
Trying to survive
All dressed up
You eat lunch at
The Salvation Army
Because it's free
And Heather's there
To sit by and visit
In bible study you try to
Understand how Jesus
Is God
While not understanding why
He prays to his Father in heaven
Like praying to yourself
That will be explained later
On down the road
Doing your laundry at your son's
Kynsley's glad you're there
Owen wakes up in a foul mood
That gets better with some juice
And you wonder why they
Don't sell you two dryers per
One washer.
