Oh how I love what has been taught,
All day long it stays in my thought;
The commandments have made me wise,
They have opened my ears and eyes.
Such insight given what I see,
Through each day in their guiding me;
They make me wiser than my foes,
And more knowledge than each one knows.
My insight is more than teachers,
That their teaching often features;
Their personal thoughts and their views,
Information of their values.
For my years of experience,
Has always been my best defense;
Building up a lot of wisdom,
Flowing from God and His Kingdom.
So I always try to obey,
As I go through every day;
Following His guiding principles,
And given to His disciples.
I walk not on the evil path,
Because my feet avoid the wrath;
They know all of that has been heard,
Since they have listened to the Word.
His rules I could never reject,
Every day never neglect;
Because from what I have been told,
They are worth more than all the gold.
Oh how much sweeter than honey,
And worth more than all the money;
Knowing together of this life,
The promise comes beyond the strife.
