Shared Future June 16, 2013
In Irish towns across our land a new day has begun
We'll walk the road together; we'll walk the road as one
We'll meet a friend we never knew from the other side of town
Peace is the feeling; the walls of separation must come down
Join the change, don't miss the boat, we're people on the move
The other side of this side will be with us on our way
Greet the friend you've never met from those few yards so far away
Extend a hand of peace, with open hearts we're on our way
Look eye-to-eye, you can smile if you try, say hello and meet a new friend
Never look back with the past in your mind, a new beginning, not the end
Share your feelings, our past is in the past, you can do it if you try
The little children need each other; let's do it, it's easy if we try
The day will come when we share this land each and everyone
A shared future for Ireland is our dream; no stopping till it's done
