A summer’s day,
So hot and dry;
Wishing to say,
I wonder why.
It felt humid,
For overnight;
The ground like mud,
Within my sight.
I feel tired,
What can I do?
Cool desired,
To get me through.
I need to seek,
To beat the heat;
I feel so weak,
I need a seat.
I cannot stand,
From all the heat;
The flaming sand,
Just burns my feet.
Eyes are blurry,
I can’t see straight;
Makes me worry,
What is my fate?
But my belief,
A faith so strong;
Will find relief,
Not to prolong.
I hear the sound,
Of angel wings;
Flapping surrounds,
Coolness it brings.
God hears my prayer,
Comfort He brings;
Willing to share,
His angel wings.
