Donegal to Dublin town, moving on to Galway Bay
Travelling light with my country in sight loving every day
I'm on my way, can't wait to see the thirty two
The hills and lakes, the county roads, what they say is true
This lovely land of Ireland belongs to me and you
The little streets and the city treats excite my active mind
Share the black stuff with friends, one or two or maybe three
Celebrating my country, this land I want to see
With the morning sun, you know what I mean
This lovely land of Ireland, the best you've seen
Look around, kiss the ground or sing an Irish song
The birds will join, they'll sing along, in Ireland you can't go wrong
You're in the land of the Gods and Earls, sing an Irish song
