Poetic-Verses

A world without sound.

Though rain pours down I hear no sound
no patter of noise upon the ground,
no howling wind that bends the trees
just silence where a sound should be.

My world of peace with nothing to hear
no angry voice and no crying tear,
I see moving lips and expressions deep
I imagine the sound when I'm asleep.

For I've never heard a robin sing
a barking dog or a flapping wing,
and never heard the crashing waves
or echos resounding within a cave.

For I was born and grew this way
no sound disturbs my every day,
for being deaf is a gift to me
I see more than you'll ever see.
