ANOTHER LAZY DAYS OF SUMMER

SUMMER BEGINS TODAY - THE LONGEST DAY OF THE YEAR

LAZY DAYS OF SUMMER

Lazy days from my youth
The hot summer sun shimmering
through  lacy leaves of a  mimosa tree
Humming bird gathering nectar
from it's pink flowers

Children playing in a water sprinkler
laughing with glee
run to and fro as grow-ups sat in lawn chairs
sipping lemonade from tall frosty glasses

My yellow dog sleeping in the cool shade
unaware that a rabbit is in the bushes
A lovely southern scene-a memory from yesterday

Genesis 8:22

22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest,
and cold and heat, and summer and winter,
and day and night shall not cease.

Authorized King James

* Today is the first day of summer. I hope it will be a great one for you.
Be sure to drink lots of water and use your sunscreen.
Try to stay cool. It will last only a few months so enjoy.
Blessings to you all,
Kathy
