May-time spring discovered newborn
Aside woodland paths where hearts tread
And so their story unfolded...the tale of the chain
Embraced dearly by the whitest of stars
June-time summer nourished delicate petals
And loyal love was plucked from its bed of innocence
Awake! For the garland of life was unveiled
As the evening star's delight sparkled in ocean eyes
No earthly future…. no natural decay…
Rather a testament of faith and hope was gathered for its patient purpose
So as evening shadows cast emerald fields, 'twas in this moment
Harmonious hands wove a chain of love…..a daisy chain
So he adorned her with his crown
And in one fleeting moment breath delighted in a singular gasp
Alas! In time did a withered petal fall…..
Yet was it not woven strong?
